Laura Smith Dunaief
Laura has twenty years' experience managing projects, sales, client services and training in retail and wholesale financial services organizations.

Most recently, a Director of Learning Services for FT Knowledge, a division of Pearson Education, Laura has spent her career as a manager and trainer in the financial services industry.

Formerly, Laura was Director of Training and Development for Schwab Capital Markets, a division of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc.  In this role, she was responsible for directing training strategy development and implementation for the company's trading organization.  Key elements of this strategy included management development, product and service training, and professional skill development. 

Prior to managing the training organization, she held roles as diverse as Director of Customer Service Initiatives and Manager of Correspondent Execution Services, both for Schwab Capital Markets, and Vice President and Branch Manager of a Boston-area retail brokerage office for Charles Schwab.

Laura has extensive experience recruiting, training, and managing sales and service organizations.  As a consultant, she has successfully assisted organizations and individuals with development and facilitation of programs addressing:

   Management and Communication Skills
   Consultative Selling and Customer Service Skills
   Financial Services Industry Products and Services

A
magna cum laude graduate of New York University, Laura holds a B.A. in Organizational Behavior and Communication with honors in the Social Sciences.  She is also a certified facilitator of a number of well-known training systems, including those from Achieve Global, Learning International, and Development Dimensions International.  Previously, she held many financial services credentials, including NASD Series' 7, 24, and 55, and NYSE Series' 8 and 63 licenses.

A member of the Advisory Board to the CLO Institute, Laura works with the CLO Institute to develop key business competencies among training leaders, thereby enhancing the reputation and relevance of training and development professionals in the business world.

Active in professional organizations, Laura is also a member of:
